Ms. Holly Martinez will transfer into a new role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction with Española Public Schools, effective July 1, 2024, and will be receiving paid leave until that date while she prepares for her new role. As the result of this transfer and her leave time, the Board of Education has appointed me as Acting Superintendent to complete the current school year. I will then transition to Interim Superintendent effective July 1, while the Board of Education conducts a search for a new permanent superintendent.
The Board of Education is committed to ensuring the continuity of the district and has already taken action to begin the search process for a new superintendent.
